Sunday Scrapping on a Woodware Theme... Distress It

Sunday Scrapping on a Woodware Theme... Distress It!

Well I was feeling quite distressed by the end of this one, I have to say! I scuffed the edges with a paper scuffer and then inked with Mixed Media Inks. This ink is great for this kind of project as it is extremely juicy and soaks into the broken down paper fibres wonderfully. I even heated the organza ribbon to crinkle it... and almost set off the smoke alarms in the process! I hear tell there are more of these Perfect Print pads available in new designs now... so I will definitely have to have a look at those! Make sure you pop over to the Woodware blog to see what the Design Team have been up to and happy scrapping, jenx

Wear Crafts Family History Project 2015 "If Trees Could Talk..."

*singing* WELL, I WISH IT COULD BE CHRISTMAS EVERY DAY!!!!

Wear Crafts Family History Project 2015 "If Trees Could Talk..."
(Yes, I know that was on the front of the National Trust magazine *rolls eyes*)

It is all here... waiting for the last few 12x12 albums to pop over from America, but all the stash IS READY TO GOOOOOO!!!!!!! Are you excited? Are you? Can you wait? Can you? HO HO HO!!! I feel like Mary Christmas! I have the Bazzill pack samples for you to peruse this evening too, but you don't have to have these, they were just a requested extra, if you fancy.

Now then, I have THREE full places left for this project. At the Creative Space in Langley Park DH7 9TT, we will meet once a month to work on this album. There are prompts and layouts and I am sure there will be some great discussion about family history and research routes! You really need to be within cropping distance ideally, but get in touch if you are a regular and you are not within the immediate area and we can chat about how to make it possible for you to join in ;) I have loads of spare papers but the embellishments that are part of these three spare complete kits are all I have left and once they are gone, it is unlikely that I can guarantee more. So have a thinky thunk if you have not already signed up... if you want to join you need to tell me asap... if you want full additional kits, you need to stake claim to them tonight! At present, these are only available as full kits and cannot be broken up into separate items, yet.

#excited! Happy scrapping, jenx

Crop Night and Twelve Pledges!

Tonight is Twelve Pledges night at the crop in our Creative Space at Langley Moor DH79TT, so why not pop along to join in the fun from 6pm-9pm. There are quite a few options for the kit available this evening, so it really is worth a look!

And in other news...
... I am bringing two huge boxes with me tonight full of our long awaited stash for the Family History project. Documented Life has been delayed until the end of December, so I was thinking of an all day crop in January to get Documented Life started for the year, if you fancy a whole day of scrappy fun! Family Tree bundles can be collected tonight and the bundles of coordinating Bazzill are available as an extra if you fancy too!!!

Sunday Scrapping on A Woodware Theme: So you haven't made your...

....December Countdown Book Yet!

The theme over on the Woodware blog this week has been So you haven't made your Christmas Cards Yet... which doesn't quite work on a scrapbook page! But scrappers like to document the days in a Christmas Countdown and if you are like me, leave it till the last minute to make the wee book you need. And behold, the December Daily Countdown book was born!

Quick and easy and with little pockets lifted from an idea on the Woodware blog earlier this year.

If you are anywhere near Langley Park, we have made some little kits which are available at the Creative Space DH79TT so you can create this wee wonder ;) But to be honest, it is so easy, get your Christmas stash out and I am sure you will have something that will fit the bill. Every page is created in the same way to make it nice and easy.
Each page is 6"x6" and scored at about 1". The pages are then glued together at the spine, cropadiled and laced with organza ribbon, just for decoration. The photo mount is 5 1/2"x4" and the little pocket was created using a massive Woodware pocket punch. The little glitter domes nicely set off the numbers (which have been cut from a piece of Craftwork Cards Christmas paper). And that is that! Get creative on the front cover...
I used the December 25th Woodware Clear Magic Single Stamp, which is one of my favourites, and highlighted some of the spare numbers with glossy accents. Winding a little black and white twine around the numbers makes them 'pop'. Easy and quick to make and perfect for my Dressember photos! Happy scrapping, jenx
