Time for Yourself Tuesday Two

I hope you made time for yourself today. I came up with this 12x12 layout using My Mind's Eye scrapbook papers.
Eleanor and Leonard Wadge living life to the full.
This layout shows my amazing grandparents who I was very very close to and still miss every single day. They were ballroom dancing teachers, among other things, and used to compete and win. They worked really hard raising money for a school called Southlands in Tynemouth and were really well known and well respected. This shows them just before my nana died very suddenly and unexpectedly. I still remember reeling from that even though I was only 19 at the time. They worked for SAGA holidays on long holidays in Spain and various other places. They used to organise all manner of events including dancing and keep fit classes for the holidaymakers. These two photos are from a series of official photographs which were taken for use in SAGA promotional material, including a SAGA holiday brochure. I have the clipping from the brochure and I will scrap that as part of this series of layouts I intend to do.

I made the chevron design by cutting out two inch squares...

...with my Woodware 2" punch...
...which I then cut accross diagonally...

...then I arranged the triangles to create a chevron pattern. Simples.

I used My Mind's Eye Indie Chic Nutmeg papers to scrap these photos. The papers are called Hanging Out Rainbow, History Blooms and Memories Tapestry. I made the alphabet using Woodware Chippies inked up with Yellow Ochre Colorbox ink. Goes without saying, I used Tombow and Mini Mounting Pads.

Hope you liked my layout. I made some of those little albums I posted earlier, but I haven't finished them so I will post later in the week. Jenx
