WOYWW

A Jubilant 2012 theme! Putting together a Summer of 2012 layout. There will be bunting and ruffles and flowers (of course). Have chosen yellow and blue as a theme. Yellow for the torch and blue for the rain! We were wet to the skin but I would not have missed the Olympic Torch Relay for the world. Felt like a little bit of history that we were part of.

First time I have ever done this! So what is there...?

1. My Selphy - no, I am not on commission but I love my Selphy and I wouldn't be without it now. Yes I know the ink is veeerrrrry expensive but my Selphy lets me print while I scrap and you can't go past the quality!!!
2. Cheap cutter guillotine thing that came from LIDL - best cutter I have ever had!
3. Tombow - wouldn't be without it.
4. Pink (of course) bag of tools, inks and pens etc.
5. Sing lyrics - inspired by scrapdolly to use these on a layout (gotta love Captain Barlow - anything he touches turns to gold).
6. Assorted ribbon, buttons, tassels, and gem stickers.
7. Photos of gorgeous boys at the Olympic Torch Relay cauldron event, of the lovely Matt Baker with the torch and of two torch bearers from Durham and Esh Village.
8. MME Indie Chic papers - fabby zig zags and flowers.

Well now I am going to have a look to see what is on your work desk! I always comment and follow, so if you want to pop back again to see me, you are always welcome!

  2. Hi Jenx
Your LO sounds fantastic. I love the idea of putting the Sing lyrics on it, I'm with your all the way on Sir Barlow. We saw the torch go by a couple of weeks ago, what an amazing experience. Everyone was just having a great time and being so friendly.
I hope you show us the finished LO.
Thanks for the visit and Happy WOYWW

  4. Hurrah for a fellow newbie! Thank you for the sneaky peek at your desk today. That paper looks gorgeous... and what an occasion to scrap! I must admit that I chickened out of cycling into Lancaster from our village to see it more because it was extremely windy (as well as pouring it down) and didn't think it would be safe on my bike. Well done for being a part off history!

    1. I love my tombow! Best adhesive ever! I used to be cautious about photos on websites but both my boys schools put photos on their websites which they are in so I kind of gave in! I have seen people post their lovely layouts and blur out the photos, so if you wanted to post scrapping, that could be a way to go! Thanks so much for popping by... off to scrap right now!!! jenx

  6. I've never heard of Selphy but I'm going to look it up! Beautiful clear photos ready to scrap, and I love the colour scheme.
Thanks for visiting my blog. I had a great time at the party. Most of the guests were Spanish so I had some language practice. It doesn't get any easier but I still try, and they accomodate me when I stumble. And they sure know how to celebrate!

  10. I love your LO, especially keeping it nice and bright despite all the rain the UK has had, have to go with the flow I suppose... ooh, go with the flow! No pun intended, lol!! Nice to see the torch some through my old stamping ground, although my family moved from Durham when I was ten! Have a great rest of the week, hope you get some sun soon!
